Download Light Helper AI
The desktop app measures the beat grid, bars and sections of a track, puts the cues on a timeline you can edit, and sends them to grandMA2 over the network. The beta is free; you sign in with your Telegram account.

- Make the file executable and run it:
chmod +x LightHelperAI-*-linux-x86_64.AppImage

- Click Log in with Telegram. The app shows an 8-character code and opens the bot @light_control_ai_bot.
- In Telegram press Start. Check that the code in the bot matches the code in the app, then press Confirm.
- The app signs you in within a few seconds. The code is valid for 5 minutes.
Analyze a track
- Open Audio Analysis in the sidebar.
- Drop an audio file or click to choose one: MP3, WAV or FLAC, up to 20 MB and 10 minutes.
- Click Upload & Analyze. After 20–60 seconds you see the BPM, the beats, the duration and the list of sections.
Edit the cues
- Under the results, click Generate Timecode Cues. Each section start becomes a cue on a downbeat.
- Accept the cues one by one or click Accept All.
- On the Timeline, play the track, drag a cue when your ear disagrees, add a cue with Add Cue, and zoom in for precise placement.
Section names are suggestions. The times are what matter: rename cues as you like.

- Choose the format: grandMA XML macro, plain command lines or CSV.
- Click Download to save the file, or Copy to paste the commands into the console command line.
To import an XML macro on grandMA2, copy it to the importexport folder (on a USB stick: gma2/importexport) and import it from the Macros pool. Check first that the sequence number is free.

Updates
On Windows and Linux the app downloads updates by itself and installs them when you restart it. On macOS the app tells you when a new version is out, and you download it from this page.
Troubleshooting
- Sign-in code doesn't appear. Check your internet connection and that a firewall doesn't block
api.lighthelper.ru. - The bot doesn't react to Start. Make sure you opened
@light_control_ai_botfrom the app, so the message contains your code. If the code expired, click sign in again. - Can't connect to the console. Check that Telnet is set to Login Enabled, that the IP and port 30000 are right, and that both machines are on the same subnet.
- Anything else. Write to the community chat: tell us your system, the app version and what you did.
